UEFA Penalizes Dinamo with a €40,000 Fine

The European football association, UEFA, has announced a penalty against Zagreb's Dinamo due to the disturbances caused by the club's fans during their home game against Borussia Dortmund in the fifth round of the Champions League. As a result of the spectators using pyrotechnics, Dinamo is required to pay €40,000 within 90 days. Additionally, UEFA has imposed a conditional penalty: should similar incidents occur over the next two years, a section of the lower north stand will be closed.

It remains uncertain how UEFA will respond in the coming days when reviewing Dinamo's most recent home European match against Celtic this week, where Croatian fans once again used pyrotechnics similarly to the Borussia match.

Dinamo will play one more home match before the group stage of the Champions League concludes. After their away game in London against Arsenal on January 22, they will face Milan in Zagreb on January 29 for the final round.
